My neighbors gifted me some Posca pens, so I’m drawing in my Uglybooks again!1
I’ve also been taking a conversational French class, so pardon my French (literally!)
Some creators here on Substack have been inspiring me to make low-text comics; here’s one about walking my dog. I walk him a LOT. We love our walks!
I bought a Moka pot after using one daily for a month when I was in France. Somehow, I haven’t quite gotten back into the habit in the States. Still, I like the shape!
A former student whom I’ve known for several decades sent me a postcard recently; we often exchange letters and cards and share art this way. She had made this card while on a long solo roadtrip and wrote this profound message at the bottom, which I’ll share with you:
“Keep creating
Never stop travelling and
you won’t have the time to grow cold!”
UGLYBOOKS makes really cool, high-quality, brightly colored journals for artists. You can get some (with my discount) here: https://uglybooks.co/collections/all-books?rs_ref=HtYJUx2v
